What can you write about in the forums?

Anything related to volleyball. Any questions or comments you have, feel free to start a new thread or add to other current discussions. However, we suggest you look through the forums to see if it is already posted. VolleyballSeek and other readers will try to give you what you are searching for.

Rules of Conduct?

Treat all people using this board with respect. If you wish to flame someone, send them a personal email, do not post it on the boards. Remember this board is read by users of all ages, so let's keep the language clean and at a decent tone, preferably a volleyball tone. These boards will be monitored.

Viewing Forums

You can visit the VolleyballSeek forums without registering, at any time to view the message postings of other members.

When you click on the Forums folder tab on top of every page, you are taken to the postings of all recent discussion postings. You will see three columns. From left to right, Thread Name, Posts, and Last Post.

• Thread Name is the subject of each message posting as chosen by the user who created that message. "Clicking on the Thread Name" takes you to a detailed view of all the messages posted under that Thread. This detailed view provides the Subject of each message posting for the thread, as well as the Login Name of the author under the heading "From" and the Date the message was posted under the heading, "Posted".
• Posts is the number of messages posted to that Subject thread. This tells you how active that thread has been.
• Last Post is the date of the last message posted to that thread. This lets you know which threads are most recently active.

Registering for Forums (not required)

In order to post new messages or add to existing threads, you Do Not Need to Register. However, if you register, posting becomes much faster as your login and email will be automatically filled in using cookies. Registration is free and takes about 30 seconds, simply fill in the few simple items on our forum registration form.

Adding A New Thread

It is very easy to add a new thread to the VolleyballSeek Forums. Select Post New Message, located at the top of each forum related page. Fill in a short, appropriate Subject that embodies the general idea of your message. Enter your message in the text box area titled, "Type Your Message Here". There is a check box below the message text area, that allows you to select if you wish to be notified by email when someone responds to your message. Then hit the "Post This Message" button. It's as easy as that. You're now a part of VolleyballSeek's Forum Community.

Adding to an Existing Thread

When viewing a thread in detail (see above topic Viewing Forums - Thread Name), you will see each message composing the thread with a link text of three options: [Return to Top · Reply · Return to Main Discussion Area]. Select the "Reply to Thread" option of the message you specifically wish to comment on within the thread. You are then taken to a form identical to the Add New Message form, only this one puts the subject into the Subject input box of the thread you are adding to. Enter your message in the text box area titled, "Type Your Message Here". There is a check box below the message text area, that allows you to select if you wish to be notified by email when someone responds to your message. Then hit the "Post This Message" button.
